EXO returns after 2 years and 6 months... comeback with 'Crown'

EXO's eighth full-length album, "REVERXE," is just three days away from release. This album offers an opportunity to revisit EXO's unique universe, which sparked a global K-pop worldview craze. The album title "REVERXE" reinterprets the English word for regression, implying "a new world opens again." EXO has generated explosive reactions through various universe-based album promotions.

As part of the album promotion, the "Lunar Eclipse" teaser image and the "REVERXE" cinematic trailer were released, and the appearance of the "Black Cloak Corps" at four locations in Seoul heightened fans' curiosity. Additionally, a "mystery quiz" about the album's narrative, the main object "Tree of Life," and content utilizing each member's supernatural powers were unveiled, providing fans with the joy of interpreting the universe.

The music video for the title track "Crown" will be released alongside the album, vividly portraying the story of "The Return of the King." The album package includes the EX-VISION version in the form of a digital photo keyring, along with a short novel written by author Lee Hee-joo.

This album is the first new release in two years and six months since the seventh full-length album "EXIST," released in July 2023, and contains a total of nine tracks. The title track "Crown" features lyrics inspired by a crown, metaphorically comparing a precious existence to a crown desired by many, conveying a message of risking everything to protect it until the end. Notably, EXO solidifies their presence as a team through the "SMP style" performance of "Crown."

"Crown" is a hard dance song that blends Atlanta trap drums, heavy metal guitar, and EDM synths, featuring powerful group choreography with eight dancers. The impactful move that looks like wearing a crown on the head is a highlight point.

Among the tracks are the cozy winter song "I'm Home" and the intense performance track "Back It Up," along with other songs such as "Crazy," "Suffocate," "Moonlight Shadows," "Back Pocket," "Touch & Go," and "Flatline," which encompass various moods and narratives.

EXO prioritizes meeting fans worldwide after their comeback. All tracks will be released at 6 PM on the 19th, followed by an album showcase at 7:30 PM at Kyung Hee University's Peace Hall. This showcase will be streamed live online on EXO's YouTube and TikTok channels. The stage for the title track "Crown" will be presented for the first time.

From the 20th, the album release commemorative pop-up store "REVERXE THE WORLD" will be held for eight days at The Hyundai Seoul B1 Event Plaza, and several YouTube contents will be released sequentially. EXO will appear on programs such as "Channel Fifteen Night" and "Hal Myung Soo," and prepare content including "Ex-Convict," featuring the chemistry of MC Kai and Sehun, "Jipdaeseong" with Suho and Kai, and "Minju's Pink Cabinet" with Suho and Chanyeol.

In the future, EXO plans to launch a new season of their solo reality variety show "EXO's Ladder to the World Tour" and will start a solo concert tour in April to communicate with fans worldwide. Attention is focused on EXO's activities in 2026.
