Kian84 took his first step in the Arctic Marathon on MBC's "Extreme 84." He chose the Arctic race as the final challenge for the Extreme Crew and arrived in the Arctic after a three-day journey. Experiencing nature unique to the Arctic, such as the Russell Glacier, Kian84 strengthened his determination and led the crew members in a marathon simulation from 4 a.m. to prepare for the cold. Through course exploration and rehearsal, they moved one step closer to the challenge.

Kian84 encountered a hidden course that required climbing with a rope and the icy course called "Ice Cap," known as the ice hell, expressing tension by saying, "It feels alien, like entering an unknown world." However, as the crew leader, he encouraged the members and ignited his passion. In the middle of the glacier, he took off his shirt to celebrate and reaffirmed his will to complete the race, teasing that Gangnam's "hair" would be an important foreshadowing in "Extreme 84," sparking curiosity.

After exploring the course, Kian84 received a briefing at the airport and asked Dutch youths for help for Kwon Hwa-woon, who is weak on ice. He also caused laughter by oddly pulling out Gangnam's "hair" as a lucky charm. Upon hearing from a Brazilian participant that his daughter is a fan, he delivered an impromptu video message, proving his global popularity.

Kian84 did not hide his troubled feelings. He said, "Honestly, I gave up on my goal. Every time I ran, my record didn't improve. I sought advice and tried hard, but it didn't work well. While hoping for a good record, I got obsessed with the numbers, and my mind kept spinning." To ease his troubled mind, he made a phone call to his mother and regained his composure.

On the day of the Arctic race, Kian84 took out his running log and said, "I worked hard on my own, so I won't hope for luck. I will run as far as I have trained," embodying the mindset of "Run with effort, leave the rest to fate." Thoroughly preparing his gear for the cold and icy roads, he said, "Because many people watch me run, the desire to show good performance became a shackle. I will let go of the burden and run joyfully. I won't obsess and will go wherever my legs take me," taking a strong first step.
