
The group BTS is preparing a comeback commemorative performance. BTS's agency, Big Hit Music, stated to Newsen on January 19th regarding the free performance at Gwanghwamun Square, "Discussions are currently underway, and an official announcement will be made once the final decisions on the venue and schedule are confirmed."
BTS is reportedly applying for permission to use and film at locations around Gwanghwamun Square, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Sungnyemun with the Cultural Heritage Administration. The related review will take place at 2 p.m. on the 20th at the Cultural Heritage Committee.
After ending their group activity hiatus due to military service in June last year, BTS will make a comeback on March 20th with their fifth full-length album, "ARIRANG." The album contains a total of 14 tracks and is titled after "Arirang," a representative Korean folk song. BTS has infused their identity and emotions they want to share with fans into this album.
Starting with a performance at Goyang Sports Complex on April 9th, BTS will embark on a new world tour. This tour will be held 79 times across 34 cities worldwide, marking the highest number of shows in K-pop history. Concerts in Japan and the Middle East are planned to be added, further expanding the scale of the tour.
BTS will be the first Korean artists to perform in numerous stadiums including El Paso, Foxborough, Arlington, and Baltimore in the United States. They also plan to maximize on-site immersion by attempting a 360-degree stage production.
This comeback and world tour are generating great anticipation among BTS's global fans. BTS aims to strengthen communication with fans through their music and performances and continue exploring new musical endeavors.
