Group BTS member V has released a new photobook. V announced the photobook "TYPE 非" on January 19. This work is the second photobook following "TYPE 1," published in 2024. While the previous work focused on natural daily life, this photobook centers on the theme of "non-fixity," which transcends the boundaries of form and genre.
V was directly involved in the planning stage and throughout the entire photoshoot of the photobook. He densely expressed his unique sensibility. The photobook consists of a total of 278 pages, with 20 chapters connected in a single flow. Each chapter includes various concepts and productions, showcasing different aspects of "Artist V." The deep gaze and emotional atmosphere captured in the main poster increase anticipation for the photobook.
To commemorate the release of the photobook, an offline exhibition titled "V TYPE 非 : ON-SITE IN SEOUL" will be held. This exhibition is composed of an exhibition zone and a media art zone. Visitors can move along the flow of the photobook and experience the work visually and three-dimensionally. Unreleased photos and videos available only on-site will also be provided. The exhibition will take place from January 20 to February 1 at Freeze House Seoul in Jung-gu, Seoul. This exhibition is significant as it is the first photo exhibition held at this venue.
BTS, to which V belongs, plans to release their fifth full-length album "ARIRANG" on March 20. This album centers on the themes of the group's identity, longing, and deep love, containing a total of 14 tracks. Starting in April, BTS will embark on a large-scale world tour covering North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. The tour will begin in Goyang, South Korea, on April 9 and April 11-12, with a total of 79 performances in 34 cities scheduled. Japan and Middle East dates will be added later.
This photobook, exhibition, and album release are expected to be important milestones in BTS's activities. BTS plans to strengthen communication with global fans and further solidify their position as artists through various forms of content.
