The group JO1 has opened up about the urgent costume change struggle behind the glamorous Tokyo Dome stage, ahead of their live DVD release.
In the unboxing video for JO1DER SHOW 2025 WHEREVER WE ARE IN TOKYO DOME released on JO1’s official YouTube channel on January 18th, the members introduced key highlights of the live footage set to be released on January 21, 2026. Among them, the point emphasized by all members was the fierce sense of reality backstage.
A Battle of Sweat and Time: Chaos in the Wings The costume change following the first block of the performance is a process that requires as much energy as the stage performance itself. Recalling those moments, the members mentioned the quick change war they fought, rushing backstage as soon as the first song ended.
Member Keigo recalled how incredibly busy it was, dashing off to change in a scramble right after the opening track. He explained that the scene was absolute chaos as they had to perfectly set up their next stage costumes within a very short timeframe.
In particular, the members spoke about their physical struggles. Being completely soaked in sweat from the intense choreography made the process of taking off tight stage outfits and putting on new ones much more difficult than expected. Even as clothes stuck to their bodies due to sweat, causing delays, the members displayed their professional spirit and returned to the stage within the scheduled time.
The Truth Captured in the Fan Club Limited Edition This fierce struggle is expected to be featured in the tour behind-the-scenes footage included in the Fan Club (FC) Limited Edition of the DVD/Blu-ray. The members expressed both excitement and worry about how much of their human struggle, which couldn't be seen on stage, was captured on camera.
Through this footage, fans will be able to catch a glimpse of the sweat the members shed in unseen places to create a perfect stage, as well as the urgent moments where every 0.1 seconds counted. Beyond a mere concert record, it is expected to be a precious document proving JO1's passion and effort.
January 21st Release: Reliving the Emotion of Tokyo Dome JO1's Tokyo Dome live DVD and Blu-ray will be officially released on January 21st. It consists of a standard edition and an FC limited edition with abundant special features. The members urged fans not to miss the quick change behind-the-scenes, along with various famous scenes such as the legendary 3-point headstand pose.
Attention is focused on how much the story of the backstage, which was as hot as their shining figures under the glamorous lights, will move the fans.
