DK and Seungkwan, the main vocalists of the group SEVENTEEN, have proven the dignity of their "trustworthy vocals" with goosebump-inducing attention to detail.
On the 20th, SEVENTEEN released their original content 'Ordinary Notes #3' through their official YouTube channel. This video candidly captures the struggle and effort of DK and Seungkwan as they record a duet, striving to create a perfect result.
In the video, the two showed the aspect of "Detail Artisans" by constantly exchanging feedback for the completeness of the song, going beyond simple singing. In particular, Seungkwan monitored DK's part and poured out specific and sharp requests, such as "Rather than acting tired, please sing it naturally" and "Add a fast vibrato."
When DK perfectly executed Seungkwan's demanding requests and adjusted his emotional line, Seungkwan let out a joke mixed with admiration, saying, "Hyung, working with you, you really are a pervert." This was a playful expression using the word "pervert" to describe DK's perfectionist tendency to obsess over even a single minute tremor for the atmosphere of the song, offering a glimpse into their strong musical trust.
DK also responded with his own details. He taught Seungkwan physical tips for pronunciation and volume, saying, "The detail here is that you have to open your mouth bigger," and even voluntarily requested a re-recording even after the recording was finished. DK revealed his unceasing passion, saying, "I want it to sound a bit more anxious and energetic rather than too organized."
Their tenacity shone even in the high-note parts, referred to as the "devil's section." Despite the recording being physically demanding enough to make them joke, "I need a cold water rubdown," the two checked each other's vocal tones and matched their harmonies to create the best sound.
