Seungri, formerly of Big Bang, has been accused of preparing illegal businesses in Cambodia. On the 20th, information about Seungri's recent activities was revealed in a video released on the channel "Jiritjirit," operated by reporter Oh Hyuk-jin. Reporter Oh stated that Seungri has been in contact with money launderers, voice phishing group members, and individuals related to casinos. He said, "There are reports that he is partying with executives from Cambodian crime complexes."
Reporter Oh explained that Seungri attempted to promote a business in Cambodia similar to the "second Burning Sun" for commercial purposes. He said, "Seungri tried to push the business in that direction, but currently the chairmen are being arrested and preparations are underway to extradite them to China," raising questions about whether Seungri has anyone who can materially support him.
Additionally, Reporter Oh mentioned that Seungri has a strong fan base in Japan, saying, "He has completely fallen into ruin in our country." He added that it appears Seungri was planning illegal businesses in Southeast Asia. It was also reported that Seungri is currently active mainly traveling between Thailand.
Meanwhile, last November, our government cooperated with Cambodian police to establish a Korea Task Force and is intensively cracking down on local scam complexes. In this process, three Koreans were rescued, and 157 scam participants were arrested. The government is strengthening its crackdown on illegal activities and is paying close attention to cases related to Seungri.
Seungri previously caused a major controversy with the "Burning Sun" incident. There has been no official response to these recent allegations yet. Attention is focused on what results Seungri's actions will bring in the future.
