Hong Ji-yoon, a singer affiliated with Choi Lab, proved her popularity for three consecutive weeks on MBN's 'Active King 3.' On the 20th, during the first round of the second preliminary match, she showcased a variety of charms and stage presence.

Hong Ji-yoon confirmed herself as a strong contender for the championship by ranking first in the third week of the nationwide support vote. She placed second in the first preliminary round and personally formed her team as the leader for the team mission. She stated, "I wanted to create a team where each member blends well without being overly flashy, yet each has clear strengths," and selected Bin Ye-seo, So Yu-mi, Goo Soo-kyung, and Kang Hye-yeon as team members. The five performed under the team name 'Nurungji Caramel,' presenting a cheerful styling and visuals reminiscent of cartoon characters.

Hong Ji-yoon raised the stage atmosphere with the phrase, "In the name of Nurungji, I will not forgive you." She then demonstrated her wit by recruiting actor Park Young-gyu as the 'mini concert' black knight, assigning him the role of the agency representative. During the group song 'Please Spread the Word,' she drew audience response with her playful facial expressions, relaxed remarks, powerful performance, and solid vocal skills.

In the duet stage of 'Odongdong Taryeong' with Bin Ye-seo, she delivered an authentic trot feeling. With a deep tone and steady breath control, she brought out the essence of the song, clearly demonstrating her fundamentals and experience as a trot singer. In the following Norazo's 'Mackerel' stage, she appeared solemnly holding a mackerel prop, completing a musical-like scene with her unique B-grade sensibility and sly expressions.

In the latter part of the performance, the team reached the peak of their teamwork with the 'Chameleon' stage alongside Park Young-gyu. The final song 'Beauty' energized the entire audience to stand up, turning the venue into a festive scene. The 'Nurungji Caramel' team received a high score of 232 out of 240 points.
