BTS member Suga attracted fans' attention by confessing his deteriorating eyesight and revealing a different look wearing glasses during a live broadcast.
Suga recently spent time communicating with fans through a live stream on the global fan community platform, Weverse.
At the beginning of the broadcast, Suga was seen frowning or leaning close to the screen as if he couldn't see well. Shortly after, he said, "I need to bring my glasses. Glasses," and briefly left his seat before returning to sit in front of the camera wearing horn-rimmed glasses.
Suga opened up about his rapidly worsening eyesight, saying, "No, my eyes have gotten so bad these days." He expressed his frustration, stating, "My eyes are so bad, I have to break the limit. It (the decline in eyesight) is severe." Unlike his charismatic presence on stage, fans reacted enthusiastically to his natural appearance in comfortable clothes and glasses, with comments like, "He looks intellectual with glasses" and "I hope he takes care of his eye health."
Along with the confession about his eyesight, he also shared cute complaints about his hairstyle. Explaining his messy hair, Suga said, "I just washed my hair. I got a perm, but I dried it wrong, so my hair turned out like this."
He continued, "I want to tie my hair, but I can't right now (because the length is awkward). I want to just chop it all off, but I'm holding back," bringing laughter by sharing his honest feelings about enduring the so-called "beggar zone" (awkward hair length phase). He also updated fans on growing out the back of his hair, showing his side and back profiles to the camera.
On this day, Suga revealed that he came straight after a meeting at the company and shared his thoughts on the season, saying, "The weather is cold, but this year's end-of-year season doesn't really feel like the end of the year."
Although he looked for his glasses due to the discomfort of poor eyesight, Suga's unadorned sharing of his daily life brought another sense of joy to ARMYs around the world.
