SM Entertainment's multinational male trainee team SMTR25 will debut with the variety show "Reply High School." On January 23, Mnet announced that the new reality variety show featuring SMTR25 will premiere on February 13 at 8:20 PM.
"Reply High School" consists of a total of 8 episodes, where 15 K-pop trainees enroll in the fictional school "Ujeong High" and experience K-culture from the 1990s to the 2010s in a time-slip reality program. The show captures the trainees' journey to find the answer to their debut. The program is directed by PD Shin Hyo-jung, who previously directed "Nana Tour" and "Nana Minbak."
Mnet released the main poster and performance teaser featuring the members of SMTR25. In the released performance teaser, SMTR25 members reinterpret Girls' Generation's "Into the New World" in their own style while wearing school uniforms and performing. They deliver a powerful yet refreshing performance in a vast field, emphasizing the atmosphere of the program.
This program is conducted in a 24-hour close observation reality format. Each class will experience trendy items, music, and school culture (sports day, school trips, festivals, etc.) from the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s, showing empathy across generations and unexpected chemistry.
The production team stated, "Please pay attention to what kind of unique chemistry and reactions will emerge when past K-pop culture meets current trainees," adding, "It will be fun to watch how the nostalgic cultural codes that defined an era are newly interpreted through the eyes of today's youth."
"Reply High School" will air on February 13 at 8:20 PM on Mnet and Mnet Plus. The program is expected to be engaging content for both K-pop fans and general viewers.
