The group TWS has made a significant impact on TikTok, solidifying their position as a 'Challenge Hit Maker.' According to the global short-form video platform TikTok on January 23, the number of short-form videos using the title track "OVERDRIVE" from TWS's mini 4th album "play hard" exceeded 1.1 million as of the previous day. This figure is more than five times higher compared to about 200,000 videos a month earlier (December 22, 2025). This achievement is remarkable even among all K-pop boy groups.
The cumulative views of TikTok posts featuring "OVERDRIVE" have reached 2.5 billion (as of January 20). Thanks to this high level of attention, the song ranks at the top of Korea's "Top 50" and "Viral 50" music charts within the platform. The core performance of "OVERDRIVE," the "Angtal Challenge," has become a trending content across the popular culture scene this winter. Through various challenges such as "The first meeting didn't go as planned" and "If I'm S, you be my N," TWS accurately captures the public's taste.
This challenge has also been mentioned at major award ceremonies such as the "10th Asia Artist Awards 2025 (AAA 2025)," MBC "Entertainment Awards," and the "40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit," proving its widespread popularity. The simple and intuitive choreography of shaking shoulders to the chorus has sparked a relay of participation from top stars, creating a festive atmosphere.
The song "OVERDRIVE" is also showing a remarkable comeback on music charts. After completing official promotions, it re-entered Melon's daily and weekly charts in December last year and has been steadily climbing the ranks. Recently, it reached 28th place on the daily chart (as of January 20) and 32nd place on the weekly chart (tracking period January 12–18), setting new personal records. It is also showing an upward trend on other music charts such as Genie Music, Bugs, and Flo.
On January 24, TWS will kick off their Greater China tour by holding "TWS TOUR '24/7:WITH:US' IN MACAU & KAOHSIUNG" at the Studio City Event Center in Macau. This tour is expected to further expand TWS's global activities.
