
Singer Lee Chan-won will meet fans in Sangju, Gyeongbuk. Lee Chan-won will take the stage at the '2026 Sangju Gotgam Festival' held at Taepyeongseongdae Gyeongsang Gamyeong Park area on Sambaek-ro, Sangju-si, Gyeongbuk, at 3:30 PM on January 23. This will be Lee Chan-won's second time performing at the Sangju Gotgam Festival stage, following last year. He will appear alongside fellow singer Hwang Yoon-sung, who is the same age, to elevate the festival atmosphere.
Sangju is a region that played an important role in Lee Chan-won's debut as a trot singer. Lee Chan-won won the grand prize in the Sangju edition of KBS 1TV's 'National Singing Contest.' He has been invited to perform at major events in Sangju such as the 'Sangju Soul Food Festival' and the 'Sangju World Hat Festival,' maintaining a special connection with Sangju. The upcoming '2026 Sangju Gotgam Festival' stage is also highly anticipated.
Sangju is traditionally famous for its white-colored specialties such as rice, myungju (fine silk), and dried persimmons. Because of this, it is called the "Land of Three Whites." At this festival, there will be dessert cooking and tasting using dried persimmons, as well as dried persimmon picking experiences. Various programs such as kite flying and ice sledding are also prepared.
Meanwhile, Lee Chan-won is currently conducting the 2025-2026 national tour concert 'Changa: A Brilliant Day.' He will perform in Busan from January 31 to February 1, and meet fans in Gwangju from February 21 to 22 and March 7 to 8. The tour will continue with performances in Daejeon from March 28 to 29.
Lee Chan-won is scheduled to appear as the MC of MBC's real storytelling talk show 'SurfRIIZE Mystery Salon,' which will air at 10:40 AM on January 25. He has also been selected as the sole MC for KBS's '2026 Lucky Trot Grand Festival' special, where he will meet viewers during the Lunar New Year holiday.
