Hero Era Daejeon Chungnam Regional Branch has supported remote Himalayan schools in Nepal and schools near the capital, Kathmandu, for four years now. This support was provided through the Korea Alpine Federation Chungbuk Mountaineering School Himalayan Remote School Exploration Team. The support includes a one-year salary of 6 million KRW for a Korean language teacher at Banivillas Secondary School and winter supplies and volunteer goods worth approximately 2 million KRW delivered to Baraburi Elementary School.

The Korea Alpine Federation Chungbuk Mountaineering School Himalayan Remote School Exploration Team plans to visit Nepal in person from January 7 to January 21, 2026. After completing the Annapurna Kopra Danda course, the team will engage in volunteer activities and homestays to interact with local residents and practice sharing.

One of the most impressive moments during the team's activities was observing a Korean language class at Banivillas Secondary School. Before the class, the students sang the national anthem, which deeply moved those present.

In Nepal, interest in the Korean language is high, with Korean language teachers considered among the highest-paid professions. Korean is known as the most popular subject among students.
