In episode 4 of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama "From Today, I Am a Human," which aired on January 24, Eun-ho (played by Kim Hye-yoon) becomes human as a reward for her good deeds. Kang Si-yeol (played by Lomon) showed impatience in trying to reverse the swapped fate with Hyun Woo-seok (played by Jang Dong-joo). Hyun Woo-seok expressed regret, saying to Kang Si-yeol, "Let's wait just one more month, only one more month, then change it."
As Kang Si-yeol's impatience grew, Eun-ho came to him with a desperate request. She said, "When you wake up tomorrow morning, everything will be back to normal," asking him to grant her wish. However, an unexpected variable occurred. Jang Do-cheol (played by Kim Tae-woo), who was targeting Eun-ho's life, captured Kang Si-yeol. Knowing that Jang Do-cheol was after Eun-ho, Kang Si-yeol tried to stop him but was ambushed, losing consciousness and collapsing.
Sensing Kang Si-yeol's condition, Eun-ho appeared at Jang Do-cheol's hideout. As if waiting for her, Jang Do-cheol drew his wooden sword. Fortunately, Eun-ho was unharmed, and the sword Jang Do-cheol stabbed turned into a straw doll. Eun-ho drove away Jang Do-cheol and Lee Yoon (played by Choi Seung-yoon), helped Kang Si-yeol to his feet, and apologized for putting him in danger.
However, the crisis continued. Eun-ho suffered from an unknown pain, and the blue fox bead floating in the air shattered into pieces. After collapsing in Kang Si-yeol's arms and then opening her eyes again, Eun-ho realized she had become human. This was the price she paid for her good deed to save the dying Kang Si-yeol.
Eun-ho becoming human was not just her tragedy. Losing her spiritual power also meant losing the way to reverse the fate of Kang Si-yeol and Hyun Woo-seok. Meeting Pa Goon (played by Joo Jin-mo), who needed to be questioned about all this, was also impossible. At Eun-ho's request, Kang Si-yeol went to Jang Do-cheol's hideout to find the wooden sword and discovered something strange. The colorful altars and decorations had disappeared, leaving an empty abandoned construction site.
Through a newspaper article he found instead of the wooden sword, Kang Si-yeol learned about the existence of another gumiho. Eun-ho dismissed it, saying, "There is no other gumiho on this land besides me," but Kang Si-yeol suspected that these events were unfolding as part of a divine plan. Eventually, the two headed to Seoraksan, where a gumiho had been discovered in the past.
At the end of the broadcast, Eun-ho and Kang Si-yeol were shown stopping their mountain hike and coming down without finding any gumiho or divine will. Eun-ho, now on her second day as a human after losing her thousand-year-old spiritual power and gaining human frailty, showed a pounding heart as she received Kang Si-yeol's natural care. However, in her sleeping mind, scenes that were indistinguishable as past or future, dream or reality, appeared. The wooden sword pierced into Eun-ho's heart with her sad eyes, and Kang Si-yeol's expressionless face holding the sword's hilt created tension.
Meanwhile, episode 3, which aired that day, recorded a peak rating of 3.5% (according to Nielsen Korea) and ranked 6th in Netflix's global non-English content chart. The drama is gaining great popularity among viewers, increasing curiosity about how the fate of Kang Si-yeol and Eun-ho will unfold.
