Jungsook and Youngchul revealed the background behind their decision to get married. The two decided to register their marriage within 18 days. In an interview released on the 'Chonjang Entertainment TV' channel on the 23rd, Jungsook explained the reason for rushing the wedding. Jungsook said, "Youngchul might be gaslighting me a bit, but since I'm a bit older, he said, 'If we date for a year and then prepare for the wedding for another year, when will we have a baby and hold the wedding?'"

Jungsook expressed that she felt their relationship was already well-matched. She added, "From our perspective, we don't need to adjust to each other because we fit perfectly. That's why we believe we will live well even after marriage. Also, I thought it wasn't right for a woman in her 30s to date for a long time just on the premise of marriage." Youngchul said, "Our feelings were confirmed in Solo Country, and there was no reason to get to know each other more, so I brought up the idea of registering our marriage first. I think that's the only thing I can protect."

To keep their marriage a secret, the two refrained from going out. Youngchul shared the difficulties of their secret relationship, saying, "On the way to Daegu, people recognized us, so we lied and said, 'One of our relatives is getting married.'" Jungsook honestly said, "Even my friends said, 'It's not you, right?' Because I was eating jajangmyeon and wasn't popular, I really don't think anyone thought I was a married couple."

Jungsook revealed that she hardly went out to hide the marriage. She said, "I didn't go outside at all. We're both the type to listen well, and even when I wanted to go out badly, wearing a mask and wrapping myself up, Youngchul absolutely said no."

The two also talked about the wedding preparations. Jungsook said, "I'm so busy with my work that Youngchul is handling everything from the wedding invitations to all other tasks. He also does the housework, including washing dishes, and when packages arrive, he prepares and cleans the food."
