Actress Kim Jung-nan added depth to the narrative by intricately expressing complex emotions in her role as Daebi in KBS2's weekend drama "Dear Thief Eun-ae."
In the episodes aired on the 24th and 25th of last month, "Dear Thief Eun-ae" (written by Lee Sun, directed by Ham Young-gul, produced by Studio Dragon), Kim Jung-nan realistically portrayed Daebi's worry and anxiety about her son Yeol (played by Moon Sang-min). Upon hearing that Yeol was involved in Gil-dong's affairs, Daebi could not hide her unease and confronted Jae-i (played by Hong Min-ki), who had arrested Yeol, showing an authoritative attitude. Later, after confirming that Yeol was with Ha-rim (played by Han So-eun), she quietly instructed someone to find out their true relationship, wearing a subtle expression.
During a three-way confrontation between Daebi, Yeol, and Ha-rim, Daebi tried to take control of the situation by mentioning their marriage. However, when Yeol firmly denied it, she appeared flustered and soon revealed a displeased expression, showing she would not back down easily. This heightened the tension between Daebi and Yeol, foreshadowing turmoil in the upcoming storyline.
"Dear Thief Eun-ae" airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM.
Since her debut, Kim Jung-nan has built a wide acting spectrum through dramas such as "A Gentleman's Dignity," "SKY Castle," "Crash Landing on You," "Tale of the Nine Tailed," and "Queen of Tears." She has also left a strong impression in various film genres with works like "Tazza: The High Rollers," "Baby and I," and "The World is Beautiful, Audrey."
