The TWICE unit MISAMO released a highlight medley video for their first full-length Japanese album. This video captivated viewers with its diverse and engaging visuals. MISAMO will release their first Japanese full album, "PLAY," on February 4.
On January 16, MISAMO pre-released the title track "Confetti" along with its music video. Then, at midnight on January 26, they unveiled the album highlight medley video through their official SNS channels. The video features a surprise appearance by actor Takeru Satoh, who starts an audition to determine the true owner of the throne.
In the highlight medley video, Mina performs "Turning Tables," showcasing a confident and decisive character who chooses what she wants without hesitation. Sana performs "Ma Cherry," expressing a presence that everyone admires at least once, combining softness with strength. Momo performs "Kitty," portraying someone who shines with their own light even amid confusion.
After the performances, just before the results are announced, Mina, Sana, and Momo confront the judges who try to impose penalties on them. Ultimately, they win and all wear crowns to conclude the video. In addition to the three solo songs included in the album's 12 tracks, "Deep Eden," "Hmm," and "Not a Goodbye" are used as background music, giving the impression of watching a wonderful theatrical play.
This highlight medley video features a special appearance by Takeru Satoh as the audition host, adding to viewers' interest. Since the full album "PLAY" is themed around theater, the members hoped to collaborate with an actor, and this collaboration was realized when Takeru Satoh accepted their proposal.
The full album "PLAY" is MISAMO's first local full-length album and serves as the finale of a trilogy following their debut album "Masterpiece" released in July 2023 and their second mini-album "HAUTE COUTURE" released in November 2024. This album complements the previous two works with a classical and elegant mood, expressing a musical aura of "masterpiece" and "the best," as its title suggests.
MISAMO presents their own narrative arc through the 12 tracks, including the title track "Confetti." The Japanese full album "PLAY" will be officially released on February 4.
