KBS 2TV variety show '2 Days & 1 Night Season 4' aired the second story of the '2026 Winter Workshop' held in Pyeongchang and Inje counties, Gangwon Province. The episode aired on the 25th recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 7.6% according to Nielsen Korea, ranking first in its time slot. In particular, the scene where Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, DinDin, and Yoo Seon-ho, who were selected for outdoor sleeping, showcased their improved house-building skills after one year and went to bed recorded the highest viewership rating of 12.1%.

The '2 Days & 1 Night' team and guests Boom and Kim Jae-won arrived at a barren field and received an invitation that said, "Welcome to the extreme cold weather camp," realizing it was an extreme wilderness camp. Boom and Kim Jae-won were completely unaware of the cold weather camp filming, and with the surrender of their mobile phones, the full-scale cold weather camp began.

The first mission was a group jump rope to acquire items necessary for building the base camp. While DinDin, Yoo Seon-ho, and Kim Jae-won were jump roping, the other members moved items from the prop truck. The jump rope team lasted longer than expected, securing various survival supplies. Afterwards, the seven members worked together to complete the base camp despite the severe cold of minus 15 degrees Celsius. Boom added romance to the cold weather camp by playing soft jazz music through the Boom Box.

Dinner was decided by a luck-based mission for five ingredients: rice, kimchi, sandfish, ramen, and pork belly. The first round, "lighting a match on the first strike," failed, so they did not get the rice. The second round, "relay soccer ball kick," succeeded, earning kimchi, but the third round, "nailing unity," failed, so they did not get sandfish. In the fourth round, "breaking chopsticks with the buttocks," Boom succeeded by breaking 17 chopsticks, earning ramen. The final round, "spinning group photo," also succeeded, earning pork belly.

The members, Boom, and Kim Jae-won warmed their frozen bodies from the severe cold with a dinner of kimchi, ramen, and pork belly. After the meal, the production team announced that Boom and Kim Jae-won would leave due to their scheduled plans. Both expressed regret. Boom said, "The cold weather camp is the hottest part of '2 Days & 1 Night,' and I felt proud as an entertainer to be part of it." Kim Jae-won said, "Although I only saw it for one day, I felt like I became family with the members. I will come back to make up for what I couldn't show today."

After the guests left, the five members held a sleeping spot luck-based mission called "Round and Round" to decide who would avoid outdoor sleeping in the cold. The members who desperately wanted to sleep indoors fiercely fought, and Moon Se-yoon and Lee Joon remained as the final two. In the 50% chance luck game, Lee Joon won and secured indoor sleeping alone. Lee Joon, who was called the "icon of bad luck" last year, was lucky to avoid outdoor sleeping in the cold. Meanwhile, Moon Se-yoon missed the chance to sleep indoors and burst into tears in disappointment.

Whether Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, DinDin, and Yoo Seon-ho, who were selected for outdoor sleeping in the bitter cold with a wind chill close to minus 20 degrees Celsius, can safely spend the night in the base camp they built themselves will be decided by the mission held the next morning, marking the finale of the cold weather camp.
