Maya, a member of the group NiziU, has transformed into a picture book author, delivering warm emotions to fans.
On the 26th, a behind-the-scenes video documenting the production of Maya's first picture book, "The White Butterfly (Masshiro na Choucho)," was released on NiziU's official YouTube channel. This picture book was planned to commemorate NiziU's 5th debut anniversary. Maya, who usually enjoys drawing, personally handled both the writing and illustrations, adding special meaning to the project.
In the released video, Maya displayed her professional side as an "author," delicately drawing illustrations using an iPad and seriously discussing the storyline with publisher representatives. Revealing her intention behind writing the book, Maya said, "I wanted to capture the emotions I felt meeting the members and the importance of helping each other," adding, "I hope this book becomes like a good luck charm for all of you."
The members' strong support also shone through. Member Riku, who was the first to receive the finished book, praised Maya saying, "I'm really touched. I will treasure this for life." Maya also expressed her gratitude, saying, "I was able to complete it thanks to the members supporting me by my side."
At the handover event held to celebrate the publication, touching meetings with fans continued. Maya even got teary-eyed while handing the book to each fan personally, leaving a heartfelt comment: "It feels like a moment where a dream has come true. I hope this work warms the hearts of many people."
Meanwhile, NiziU, the group to which Maya belongs, celebrates its 5th debut anniversary this year and plans to communicate with fans through various activities.
