Singer Lee Young-hyun released her new song "Tukhamyeon" on the 29th at 6 PM through various music platforms. This digital single is a personal track released after about a year and belongs to the breakup ballad genre. Composer Choi Han-sol, singer-songwriter Lim Se-jun, and The Brothers' Kim Tae-hyun participated to enhance its completeness.
"Tukhamyeon" contains Lee Young-hyun's signature explosive high notes and poignant emotions. The song expresses the moment of a breakup that ended lightly and emptily, unlike the weight of the time spent in love, with a soulful voice. Lyrics such as "I feel like I might cry at any moment" and "At the end of the days we loved, I'm still the same" delicately portray the shaken emotions of unfinished love.
Simultaneously with the music release, global K-pop media 1theK unveiled the "MR is Just Support" content. This format allows listeners to separate the MR and the singer's voice into the left and right earbuds. One earbud plays the MR, while the other plays only the singer's voice. Lee Young-hyun demonstrated flawless live skills by delivering an unshaken vocal performance even without accompaniment.
In the "MR is Just Support" video, Lee Young-hyun sat on a sofa under dim lighting, portraying the protagonist of a breakup. Her emotionally rich voice freely navigated from low to high notes, enhancing the song's immersion.
Lee Young-hyun continues active music activities as a member of Big Mama and a solo vocalist. On the day after the release of "Tukhamyeon," the 30th, she will appear on KBS2's "The Seasons - 10CM's Ssedam Ssedam" to perform a live stage. Following that, starting March 7, she will hold a nationwide tour concert titled "To You Who Need My Song - Breath" in Seoul, Daegu, Busan, Yongin, Daejeon, and other cities.
