RM, the leader of the group BTS, has become a hot topic for sharing his honest and profound thoughts on marriage, childbirth, and social pressure.

In a past Weverse live broadcast on the fan community platform, RM openly shared his thoughts when the topic of marriage came up while communicating with fans.

He started by saying, "Everyone feels chased by marriage, and there are realistic aspects to it," and specifically mentioned the social difficulties women face. RM pointed out the reality of Korean society, saying, "It seems that society and the media keep putting pressure on women regarding children and various issues (like childbirth)."

He continued, emphasizing the importance of focusing on one's own life rather than the gaze of others, saying, "I just hope you live according to your own 'style' (will). I don't think there is a right answer."

RM also warned against using marriage as an escape. He drew a line, saying, "Choosing marriage as a means of escape or solution just because you are lonely doesn't seem right." Regarding parenting, he candidly expressed his feelings: "I don't really know about the joy of raising children. It's overwhelming enough just raising myself. And children don't turn out the way you want them to."

In particular, he defined his generation, including himself (born in 1994), as the 'first generation where marriage has become a choice.' RM added, "I think that starting from those born in the 90s in Korea, we are the first generation where marriage has become an option," and "I think we should just go with our own choices."
