FT Island's Choi Min-hwan collapses during Ilsan concert... "No health issues"


Choi Min-hwan, a member of FT Island, collapsed during a performance. On the 31st, FNC Entertainment officially announced, "During today's '2026 First Music Station' performance, Choi Min-hwan showed signs of poor condition and took a rest." The agency added, "The artist experienced temporary exhaustion during the performance and was checked by medical staff. It has been confirmed that there are no major health issues at present."

Choi Min-hwan suddenly fainted during the performance held at Kintex in Ilsan, Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province, in the afternoon. The performance was safely completed with the immediate assistance of medical personnel and fellow performers on site. FNC Entertainment apologized to fans for causing concern and stated that they are continuously monitoring Choi Min-hwan's recovery.

The agency said, "Choi Min-hwan is currently resting and recuperating at home," and announced plans to carefully monitor the artist's health and manage his schedule more closely in the future. An FNC representative emphasized, "We will do our best to operate performances more cautiously."

FT Island is a band that debuted in 2007 and has received much love with several hit songs such as "Love Sick," "Wish," "Love Love Love," and "Severely." Recently, the members renewed their contracts with FNC Entertainment.

FNC Entertainment stated in an official position, "We ask for fans' understanding for causing concern and will focus on the artist's quick recovery and stability." Additional information regarding Choi Min-hwan's health will be announced later.
