
tvN's new Wednesday-Thursday drama "I'll Give You the Universe" will premiere on February 4th. This drama depicts a cohabitation romance that unfolds when a man and woman, who have a complicated relationship from their first meeting, suddenly have to raise their 20-month-old nephew "Uju." The two grow through the baby "Uju," who intrudes into each other's worlds without permission.
"I'll Give You the Universe" is directed by Lee Hyun-seok and Jung Yeo-jin, and co-written by writers Sujin and Shin Yi-hyun. The production team described the drama's unique point as "a parenting x cohabitation romance with a spoonful of fresh scent." They emphasized, "It's a romantic comedy that adds parenting to the relationship from dislike to cohabitation, and from mutual first love to reunion."
The main characters Seon Tae-hyung (played by Bae In-hyuk) and Woo Hyun-jin (played by Noh Jung-eui) expand each other's worlds through their relationship with "Uju." The production team explained, "Tae-hyung and Hyun-jin have a relationship like a midsummer shower, able to overcome anything together." The drama asks viewers for "online parenting" and aims to provide harmless laughter.
Bae In-hyuk takes on the role of Seon Tae-hyung, a photographer's assistant, attempting a new acting transformation. Noh Jung-eui plays Woo Hyun-jin, a positive and passionate job seeker, showcasing an active romance. Park Seo-ham appears as Park Yoon-sung, Hyun-jin's first love with perfect visuals and abilities, adding romantic tension. The production team explained the casting criteria for these actors as "those who can well portray the freshness, frustration, and growth of youth in their twenties."
Kang Ae-shim appears as Park Ae-ja, the grandmother neighbor living next door to Seon Tae-hyung and Woo Hyun-jin. Kim In-kwon plays Bae Doo-sik, the neighborhood busybody, portraying a cheerful character. Han Ji-hyo and Lim Sung-jun add vitality as the young couple Kim Ji-hyun and Lee Jae-min living in the downstairs apartment of Tae-hyung and Hyun-jin. Jin Seo-yeon appears as star photographer Amy Chu, and Koo Sung-hwan plays Amy Chu's manager Jo Moo-saeng.
Special appearances by Ha Jun and Park Ji-hyun portray Tae-hyung's older brother and Hyun-jin's older sister, respectively. The production team said, "Kang Ae-shim's warm comfort and Kim In-kwon's skillful dialect and ad-libs are another highlight to watch." "I'll Give You the Universe" promises to deliver cheerful and warm emotions through its diverse characters.
