Monsta X's youngest member, I.M, held a head-shaving ceremony on stage before his military service. On the 1st, at the '2026 Monsta X World Tour "THE X : NEXUS"' concert held at KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, I.M shaved his head while saying farewell to fans. This concert was part of a three-day event from the 30th of last month to the 1st, attended by about 20,000 fans.

"THE X : NEXUS" is Monsta X's first solo world tour in about four years since the 2022 "No Limit" tour, and I.M participated in the final performance before enlisting on February 9. I.M expressed his gratitude to fans, saying, "It's the last performance before going to the military, so my back hurts, but I absolutely couldn't skip the show." He showed tears, adding, "I stopped activities twice in 2025, but thanks to the fans, I was able to keep doing something without resting."

On the last day of the concert, I.M began shaving his head on stage. The members took turns trimming his hair, and fans reacted emotionally as they watched. I.M gave meaning to the moment, saying, "I wanted to shave my head here together with my hyungs." Kihyun revealed the behind-the-scenes story of the onstage head-shaving ceremony, saying, "I.M was the one who suggested doing it himself."

I.M will enter the training camp on the 9th, undergo basic military training, and then begin active duty in the army. Currently, all Monsta X members except I.M have completed their military service. After the Seoul concerts, Monsta X will continue their arena tour at LaLa Arena Tokyo Bay in Chiba, Japan, on April 28–29, and at Ookini Arena Maishima in Osaka on May 3–4. They also plan to continue their world tour in various countries and regions including Asia and South America.

"THE X : NEXUS" serves as a focal point for moving forward to the next chapter based on the time and experience Monsta X has accumulated, and it holds significance in strengthening the bond with fans. Due to I.M's military service, Monsta X will temporarily pause activities, but they showed a heartfelt appreciation for the special moments shared with their fans.
