STAYC Sieun transforms into a sorikkun in the musical 'Seopyeonje'

Group STAYC member Sieun will take the stage in her first musical since debut.

On the 2nd, the agency High Up Entertainment announced that Sieun has been cast in the musical "Seopyeonje," which opens on April 30 at the BBCH Hall of the Kwanglim Art Center.

The musical "Seopyeonje" is based on Lee Cheong-jun's short story "Seopyeonje." It highlights the meaning of life and the value of sound as art through the journey of a family of pansori singers. The story depicts family conflicts, choices, and reconciliation processes mediated by pansori.

Sieun plays the role of Songhwa, a true artist in the work. Songhwa is a character who builds her life and identity through sound, growing as an artist through times of wandering and separation. Despite numerous trials, she reaches a state of mastery through sound, embodying the emotions and message of the piece.

Through her activities with STAYC, Sieun has built solid skills, performing not only domestically but also on the global stage. Drawing on her acting experience accumulated as a child actress, she interprets Songhwa's emotional line in "Seopyeonje" with a contemporary sensibility and brings it to life on stage.

This musical is Sieun's first musical work since her debut. She will showcase the capabilities she has developed as both an artist and an actress on stage.

The musical "Seopyeonje" will be performed at the BBCH Hall of the Kwanglim Art Center from April 30 to July 19.
