
【The Fact | Reporter Choi Soo-jung】PLAVE has secured first place for 71 consecutive weeks on the Global Hot Star ranking of the weekly idol ranking site FANNSTAR.
In the FANNSTAR Global Hot Star ranking vote for the fifth week of January, held from January 26 to February 2, PLAVE claimed first place with 1,333,183 votes. Stray Kids followed in second place with 1,021,991 votes, while NEXZ ranked third with 580,741 votes.
The Global Hot Star ranking selects K-pop artists who have captivated audiences worldwide. Fourth- to fifth-generation idols with established global fandoms are nominated. The ranking has drawn particular attention as it is linked to the “Global Hot Star Award” at The Fact Music Awards. The ongoing vote serves as a preliminary round for this year’s Global Hot Star, with 20% of the results reflected in the final vote. The artist who finishes first overall will receive the Global Hot Star trophy at the 2026 The Fact Music Awards.
On FANNSTAR, artists who top the Global Hot Star ranking for 10 consecutive weeks are rewarded with a congratulatory video displayed on a horizontal LED screen in Wangsimni, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. A 30-week streak earns an AM Board display at Hongdae Station on the Airport Railroad line, while a 50-week streak is celebrated on the Hongdae M Screen. A 70-week streak is honored at Carlo’s in New York’s Times Square, and a 100-week streak is celebrated via the 9TO9 CUBE inside COEX Mall.
Along with PLAVE’s first-place achievement, fans who participated in the voting sent congratulatory messages through FANNSTAR’s official messaging service. A fan with the nickname “Bbul-Leive Heart” said, “I love PLAVE.”
Meanwhile, FANNSTAR is a weekly idol ranking site operated by The Fact, offering idol voting and large-scale digital billboard support. Known as a playground for fandoms, its group ranking, solo ranking, Global Hot Star, New Star Ranking, and Weekly Music voting begin every Monday and are open to all idol fans.
