BTS to Perform Comeback Stage at Gwanghwamun Square... Live Worldwide Broadcast on Netflix

BTS's comeback performance will be broadcast live on Netflix. Netflix and HYBE announced that they will exclusively stream "BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG" on March 21 at 8 PM. The performance will take place at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul and is arranged to coincide with the release of BTS's new album "ARIRANG." All members of BTS will showcase their comeback stage for the new album for the first time.

This performance will be broadcast live to viewers in over 190 countries worldwide through Netflix. BTS's fifth full-length album "ARIRANG" contains a deep reflection on the team's origins and identity. After the album release, BTS plans to embark on a large-scale world tour, "BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' (2026-2027)," consisting of 82 shows across 34 regions including Asia, North America, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.

Additionally, the Netflix feature-length documentary "BTS: The Return," which captures the making of the "ARIRANG" album, will be released on March 27. This documentary highlights BTS's journey returning with a new album after 3 years and 9 months. Directed by Bao Nguyen and produced by This Machine, the film offers an intimate look at BTS's comeback journey. Since their debut in 2013, BTS has built global popularity, and the documentary includes footage of their music-making process in Los Angeles, USA.

This comeback performance is regarded as a significant milestone in Korean cultural history. BTS has previously performed at Gyeongbokgung Palace's Geunjeongjeon Hall and Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, but this is their first solo concert held in the heart of the city. Their agency, Big Hit Music, explained that "ARIRANG" embodies BTS's identity, longing, and deep love. They also revealed that Gwanghwamun Square was chosen due to the symbolic meaning of the word "Arirang."

"BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG" exemplifies Netflix's expansion into live programming. This event is Netflix's first live broadcast from Korea to the world and serves as another opportunity to demonstrate BTS's global influence. Netflix plans to offer various live lineups to its members in the future, including MLB, FIFA Women's World Cup, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

BTS's comeback performance will be more than just a music event; it will be an important occasion to introduce Korean culture to the world. Through their music and message, BTS continues to connect with fans worldwide and marks the beginning of a new musical journey.
