The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation announced that 2 million KRW from the January King of Good Star competition prize, under the name of singer Lim Young Woong, has been donated. This donation will be used for the care and treatment expenses of children suffering from pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases. The donation resulted from Lim Young Woong becoming the January 2026 King through fans' votes on the Good Star platform.
The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation's care and treatment expense program supports hospitalized children's families facing sudden financial difficulties by covering hospitalization fees, medication costs, and treatment-related expenses. The program aims to help families focus on treatment in a stable environment. Including this prize, Lim Young Woong's cumulative donations through Good Star have reached a total of 120.02 million KRW.
The accumulated funds have been used according to the practical needs of children's families, such as surgery and chemotherapy costs, purchasing rare medicines, and supporting hospital assistive devices. Hong Seung-yoon, director of the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation, stated, "The continuous precious support greatly helps families of children and adolescents with pediatric cancer who feel the burden of treatment costs. We are grateful for the warm helping hands every time."
The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit foundation registered with the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2001. The foundation has been carrying out various projects, including medical treatment and care expense support, emotional support, and blood donation campaigns for children and adolescents with pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare diseases.
Singer Lim Young Woong will hold a nationwide tour concert for three days from February 6 to 8 at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1 in Busan. This concert is organized as an opportunity to meet fans and is attracting much attention.
