Koo Kyo-hwan and Moon Ga-young's 'If We' Tops Box Office for 4 Consecutive Weeks... Surpasses 2.32 Million Cumulative Audience

The film "If We," starring Koo Kyo-hwan and Moon Ga-young, has ranked first at weekend box offices for four consecutive weeks. According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing system on the 2nd, "If We" attracted about 179,000 viewers over three days from the 30th of last month to the 1st of this month, recording a 24.7% share of sales. This film is based on the Chinese movie "Us and Them" (2018) and is praised for delicately expressing the universal emotions surrounding the reunion of former lovers. Since surpassing the blockbuster "Avatar: The Way of Water" in the second week of last month, "If We" has consistently maintained the top spot at the box office, with a cumulative audience of approximately 2.322 million.

In second place is the film "God's Gang," starring Park Si-hoo and Jung Jin-woon. During the same period, it attracted about 148,000 viewers, accounting for a 19.6% share. "God's Gang" has a cumulative audience of about 934,000 and is close to surpassing one million viewers.

The long-running "Avatar: The Way of Water" added about 66,000 viewers, remaining in third place. The animated film "Shinbi Apartment 10th Anniversary Movie" and the Hollywood comedy "Taming the Boss" followed behind.

A rapid change is expected in the theater scene starting this week. Highly anticipated releases are dominating the reservation charts, signaling a generational shift. As of 9 a.m. on this day, the top reservation rate is held by director Jang Hang-jun's historical drama "The Man Who Lives with the King," set to open on the 4th, with a reservation rate of 26.7% and about 95,000 reserved tickets.

Major releases opening on the 11th are also engaged in fierce competition. Director Ryoo Seung-wan's spy action film "Humint" ranks second with a reservation rate of 21.9%, while "Number One," starring Choi Woo-shik and Gong Seung-yeon, holds third place with 10.9%. Margot Robbie's "Wuthering Heights" is in fourth place.

The changes in the theater scene are expected to significantly influence audience choices. With various genres of films about to be released, audience anticipation is rising. The success of each film will be determined by future audience numbers and sales.
