Park Ji-hyun makes a special appearance in 'I'll Give You the Universe'... Wearing a wedding dress with a strong impression

Actress Park Ji-hyun made a special appearance in the tvN drama "I'll Give You the Universe." The drama premiered on February 4 and depicts a chaotic cohabitation romance where in-laws raise their 20-month-old nephew, Woo-joo. Park Ji-hyun plays the role of Woo Hyun-joo, the older sister of Hyun-jin (played by Noh Jung-eui) and the mother of Woo-joo (played by Park Yoo-ho).

Woo Hyun-joo is a character who, having lost her parents at a young age, has always put her younger sibling first. She consistently acts as a reliable supporter for Hyun-jin, and their sisterly bond draws attention. Hyun-joo had planned to postpone her own marriage until Hyun-jin was settled, but eventually married Woo-jin (played by Ha Jun) at Hyun-jin's request. However, three years after marriage, Hyun-jin's self-esteem declines, and Hyun-joo's well-intentioned words of concern unintentionally cause deep wounds.

Eventually, the two have a quarrel, and Hyun-joo hears hurtful words. Their relationship deteriorates during this process, culminating in a tragic ending where Hyun-joo dies in a car accident. Park Ji-hyun effectively conveyed the character's emotions through delicate acting and dialogue delivery. In particular, her eyes trembling from the painful words spoken by Hyun-jin evoked sympathy from viewers, while her warm heart for her sister delivered a touching sentiment.

The sisterly chemistry between Park Ji-hyun and Noh Jung-eui added to the drama's appeal. The two showcased a lovable back-and-forth, expressing their care for each other well. Additionally, Park Ji-hyun provided another viewing highlight by appearing in a wedding dress, leaving a strong impact despite her special appearance.

Park Ji-hyun is actively working in various projects. In the Netflix series "Eun-jung and Sang-yeon," released last September, she convincingly portrayed a character who grew up without lack, depicting a narrative spanning from her 20s to 40s. In this work, she added her own color to a character that seemed monochromatic, leaving a deep impression.

She also gave a passionate performance as the elegant and captivating "Mi-joo" in the film "Hidden Face," winning the Best Supporting Actress award at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards. This solidified Park Ji-hyun's position as a "trusted and reliable actress."

Starting 2026 with a special appearance in "I'll Give You the Universe," Park Ji-hyun plans to continue her active career through various works such as the films "Wild Thing," "Jabil," and the drama "Tomorrow, Too, Work!" Her acting range is expanding across genres, and her future endeavors are highly anticipated.
