Trot singer Hwang Young-woong's fandom is showing an unstoppable growth trend. As of February 2, the number of members in Hwang Young-woong's official fan cafe, 'Paradise,' exceeded 62,312. This is the fifth-largest fandom among male trot singers, following Lim Young-woong, Kim Ho-joong, Lee Chan-won, and Park Seo-jin, a figure that evidences his solid standing in the industry.
Every song Hwang Young-woong releases has created a social ripple effect and garnered attention. "Insadong Teahouse," released in 2023, revitalized the commercial district by attracting tourists to the actual streets of Insadong, while the 2024 single "Sunflower" received so much love that it caused a shortage of artificial sunflowers at Daiso stores and express bus terminal markets nationwide.
The firepower of this fandom is also extending to offline performances. The recently held "2025 Oppa Is Back" concert in Busan mobilized over 8,000 spectators over two days, recording a sold-out show.
Industry demand for Hwang Young-woong, who has signaled full-scale activities in 2026, is also intense. He is being mentioned as the number one casting priority for the lineup of spring local festivals starting in late February. Broadcasting officials predict a high possibility of a nationwide concert tour being promoted this summer or autumn, driven by the success of the Busan concert.
Meanwhile, 'Paradise' is demonstrating a mature fan culture that matches the star's popularity. On January 30, they donated 5 million won in scholarships and goods to the Single Parent Family Love Association. They have also formed a sisterhood relationship with the Korean Red Cross and are continuing warm good deeds by carrying out volunteer activities across the country.
