Highlight member Yang Yoseob showcased his multifaceted vocal charm by revealing part of the tracks from his third solo mini-album, "Unloved Echo."
On the 5th and 6th, Yang Yoseob sequentially released the highlight medley video of the third mini-album and the teaser video for the title track "Fade Away" on Highlight's official YouTube channel. The highlight medley video featured portions of six songs.
The title track "Fade Away" begins with a heavy piano sound, and Yang Yoseob's heart-wrenching vocals stimulate emotions. In the lyrics he wrote himself, he delicately captures fading love with the lines, "Like a movie where I smiled while looking at you. Even a fragment of that day's memory. Gradually fade away fade away fade away."
In the music video teaser, Yang Yoseob's expression acting immersed viewers deeply in the sense of loss. Scenes where he creates a lonely atmosphere with his back to the piano or gazing at the screen continued with a cinematic mood. The visual beauty, capturing the coldness of winter, left a dramatic lingering impression.
This album includes Yang Yoseob's self-composed songs "Don't Leave" and "Every Night." Both tracks demonstrate dense emotional lines and refined breathing. Additionally, the album contains six songs in total, including the pop ballad "Dear My," which expresses gratitude to those who have been a light, the R&B "Moonlit Mirage," which sings of love like a mirage reflected in moonlight, and the lively band sound track "Shine." Each song has a distinct color and captivates the ear even in partial sections.
Yang Yoseob previewed the high completeness of this album through vocal variations and three-dimensional expression in each track. "Unloved Echo" is organically structured around the theme of the lingering traces of fading love. His deepened musical spectrum leaves a clear impression on listeners.
The full tracks of Yang Yoseob's third solo mini-album "Unloved Echo" and the music video for the title track "Fade Away" will be released on various online music sites at 6 p.m. on the 9th.
