Jungkook was included in the top 15 list of the most famous people worldwide recently announced by the American portal site AOL. He was the only Asian to be listed under his real name, Jeon Jungkook, ranking 15th. Jungkook entered this list ahead of figures from politics, culture, sports, and business, including presidents. Among male artists, he was one of only two, alongside Justin Bieber.
AOL described Jungkook as "a versatile billionaire boasting numerous talents as an outstanding singer, rapper, songwriter, director, producer, and art enthusiast." The list also included Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Elon Musk, and Barack Obama. Standing shoulder to shoulder with them, Jungkook demonstrated a powerful global presence.
In 2025, Jungkook ranked first as the most searched male K-pop idol worldwide on YouTube, maintaining the top spot for five consecutive years. He also ranked first as the most searched male idol in the United States in 2025. On Google, he held the number one spot as the most searched K-pop idol for over five years. On the global short video platform TikTok, the hashtag #jungkook surpassed 300 billion views, making him the first solo artist worldwide to achieve this milestone.
Jungkook won the "K-Pop Artist Of The Year" award at the major American popular music ceremony, the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards. He also received the "Male Artist of the Year" award at the 2024 People's Choice Awards (PCAs), becoming the first and only Asian artist to win in this category.
Jungkook was the first and only Korean male singer to be selected on Rolling Stone's "200 Greatest Singers of All Time" list, proving his influence as a global solo artist of a different class. He also ranked first on Billboard's "The 2024 Billboard K-Pop Artist 100" list.
