Japanese singer and actor Gen Hoshino successfully completed his second concert in Korea. On the 6th, Gen Hoshino held "Gen Hoshino Live in Korea 'Yakusoku'" at Incheon Inspire Arena and met with his Korean fans. Approximately 9,000 spectators attended this concert.
Gen Hoshino opened the performance with "化物 (Bakemono)." From the beginning of the show, the audience responded with loud cheers and gave a warm welcome. Encouraged by an audience size more than double that of his first concert in Korea, he presented a diverse setlist, intensifying the excitement of the performance. Songs eagerly awaited by domestic fans, such as "ミスユー (Miss You)," "Continues," "時よ (Tokiyo)," "老夫婦," and "Melody," were performed one after another.
In the middle of the concert, Gen Hoshino shifted the atmosphere by playing the acoustic guitar himself on the center stage. He newly rearranged hit songs like "Star" and "Week End," leading the audience in a sing-along. The main set concluded with "Eureka," creating a moment that maximized the emotion of his first Korean arena concert.
The encore stage began with "Pop Virus." Special guest Lee Youngji appeared, receiving enthusiastic cheers from the audience. Gen Hoshino welcomed Lee Youngji with a stylish gesture by changing some of the lyrics as he sang. During the following performance of "2 (feat. Lee Youngji)," the two delivered warm chemistry, sharing happy energy with the audience.
Gen Hoshino closed the concert by consecutively singing "Hello Song" and "Friend Ship." This concert left a deep impression with its clear narrative structure. He quickly returned to Korea to keep his "promise" made at the Seoul concert last September. By performing with domestic fans for the second consecutive year, Gen Hoshino experienced the joy of transcending cultural boundaries and connecting with others through music.
This concert is regarded as an important turning point in Gen Hoshino's career. Having confirmed his bond with fans, he plans to continue active activities in the future. Gen Hoshino's recent concert in Korea will remain an important example showcasing his musical growth.
