Enhypen Sung Hoon, Cha Jun-hwan moved by the performance... "Clean and beautiful"

Former figure skater Seonghun Enhypen was impressed after watching Cha Jun-hwan's performance. In an interview held on the 8th at the Main Press Center in Milan, Italy, Seonghun shared his thoughts on Cha Jun-hwan's performance based on his own experience. He was active as a men's singles figure skater for about 10 years and has a history of winning a silver medal in the junior division of the National Championships. He also competed in the ISU Junior Grand Prix.

Seonghun mentioned his connection with Cha Jun-hwan and said that since being appointed as a public relations ambassador for the Korean Sports Council in May last year, he has been actively participating in events related to the 2026 Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics. On the 7th, Seonghun watched Cha Jun-hwan's performance in the men's singles short program of the figure skating team event held at the Ice Skating Arena in Milan, Italy. Cha Jun-hwan scored 41.78 in technical elements score (TES), 41.75 in program components score (PCS), and a total of 83.53 points, ranking 8th in the competition.

Watching Cha Jun-hwan's performance from the stands, Seonghun said, "It's been a very long time since I watched a figure skating competition. So I was a bit nervous and went with an excited heart." He recalled past memories while feeling the atmosphere of the arena and said he was moved by Cha Jun-hwan's appearance. Seonghun added, "I really enjoyed yesterday's competition and want to cheer for the remaining individual events."

Regarding Cha Jun-hwan's performance, Seonghun evaluated, "Overall, it was a really clean performance. His jumps are very good, and the harmony between skating and dance on the ice was beautiful. I learned a lot from it." Watching Cha Jun-hwan's performance, he imagined himself standing on the Olympic stage as a figure skater. Seonghun said, "I went to the skating rink a few times after my debut. It was fun every time I went. I went to the arena yesterday and felt like I wanted to skate again."

During the competition, Seonghun announced his plan to promote the Olympics to Korean fans as a public relations ambassador. He said, "It is truly an honor and a joy to come to the Olympics not as an athlete but as a public relations ambassador and engage in various activities." He also added, "I want to let our sports fans in Korea feel the local scenes, atmosphere, and the sense of being on-site, so I have filmed a lot of content. I hope everyone looks forward to it."

Seonghun's experience as a figure skater and his support for Cha Jun-hwan are expected to have a positive impact on the development of Korean figure skating. He plans to continue communicating with Korean sports fans through various activities in the future.
