Stray Kids member I.N donated 100 million won on his birthday. According to his agency JYP Entertainment, I.N delivered the donation to the National Cancer Center on the 8th to give back to fans for their love on his birthday. The donation will be used to cover medical expenses for vulnerable cancer patients receiving treatment at the National Cancer Center and to support psychological therapy for pediatric and adolescent cancer patients.
In his donation statement, I.N said, "I wanted to share the love I received from fans and hope that the days of those enduring long treatments will become a little warmer." He added, "Although it is a small contribution, I hope it brings hope and courage, and I sincerely wish for their speedy recovery."
I.N practices the value of sharing through continuous donation activities. In 2024, he was appointed as the youngest member (age 23) ever to join the Green Noble Club, a group of high-value donors who have donated over 100 million won to the child welfare organization Green Umbrella. Last year, he donated treatment costs for pediatric cancer patients at Samsung Seoul Hospital on his birthday. Additionally, in April 2025, he participated with Stray Kids members in sharing activities to support wildfire recovery in the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions, and in November, they joined efforts for fire damage recovery in Hong Kong.
The National Cancer Center stated that I.N's donation will greatly help support medical expenses for vulnerable cancer patients and pediatric and adolescent cancer patients. The funds will focus on reducing the financial burden arising during treatment and alleviating emotional difficulties caused by long-term treatment. Especially for pediatric cancer patients, whose treatment periods are long and whose families bear heavy caregiving burdens, not only medical expenses but also psychological counseling and emotional recovery programs are essential. This donation is meaningful in that it provides both medical and psychological support.
Yang Han-kwang, director of the National Cancer Center, said, "I.N's sharing will be a great comfort to patients and their families," and added, "We will responsibly manage the funds to ensure they lead to practical treatment and psychological support." The National Cancer Center plans to expand sponsorship connections based on public-private cooperation through this donation. As a public medical institution, it aims to improve cancer patients' access to treatment and strengthen support systems to enhance quality of life.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids, to which I.N belongs, will continue active activities in 2026. They will perform at The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York, USA, on June 6, and headline Brazil's Rock in Rio on September 11. Stray Kids have a large fan base both domestically and internationally and are recognized not only for their musical activities but also for fulfilling social responsibilities.
