Monsta X I.M enlists in the Army Training Center... "I made good memories with Monbebe"


I.M of the group Monsta X has enlisted as an active-duty soldier in the army. According to his agency, Starship Entertainment, I.M entered the army training center on the afternoon of the 9th. After completing basic military training, he is scheduled to be assigned to his unit as an active-duty soldier.

Through his agency, I.M stated, "I was very happy to be able to greet MONBEBE more closely as we recently started the world tour, and I'm glad to have left good memories before enlisting." He added, "I will complete my military service in good health and come back, so until we meet again, I hope MONBEBE takes good care of both their body and mind, and continues to support the members' activities. I love MONBEBE."

I.M is the youngest member of Monsta X and the last to fulfill his military service obligation. Due to his enlistment, Monsta X's full-group activities will be suspended for the time being. However, Monsta X plans to continue various activities, including the world tour.

Monsta X debuted in 2015, and besides group activities, I.M has demonstrated diverse talents in songwriting, composing, producing, and MCing. He participated in composing many of Monsta X's songs, including "Autobahn," "And," "John," "Rotate," "Wildfire," and "You Are." I.M was the first in the team to start solo activities and released his solo debut album "Duality," which consisted entirely of self-composed songs. This album ranked number one on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 18 countries and regions.

In 2024, he successfully completed his first solo world tour across 18 cities in 10 countries. Just before enlisting, he participated in Monsta X's full-group concert. This concert was held over three days from the 30th of last month to the 1st of this month at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, as part of the 2026 Monsta X World Tour "The X: Nexus."

Meanwhile, Monsta X, which I.M belongs to, released the U.S. digital single "Growing Pains" on the 6th. This song showcases Monsta X's new musical attempts and has received much attention from fans. Monsta X plans to continue communicating with fans through various musical activities even after I.M's enlistment.
