
The groups Enhypen, aespa, Seventeen units, and Ailead have achieved major certifications in the Japanese music market. According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan on the 10th, Enhypen's seventh mini-album "THE SIN : VANISH" and aespa's Japanese debut single "Hot Mess" each received Gold Platinum certification for exceeding cumulative shipments of 250,000 copies as of January. The Recording Industry Association of Japan awards certifications such as Gold (over 100,000 copies), Platinum (over 250,000 copies), and Double Platinum (over 500,000 copies) monthly based on cumulative shipments of albums and singles.
Seventeen's main vocal unit Dokyeom x Seungkwan added a Gold certification with their first mini-album "Soya-gok." With this achievement, Seventeen recorded a third unit Gold certification following the Jeonghan x Wonwoo and S.Coups x Mingyu units. Including group albums, Seventeen now holds a total of 18 Gold Disc certifications.
Ailead received Gold certification for surpassing 100,000 shipments with their first Japanese single "Toki Yo Tomare." Last year, Ailead achieved Double Platinum by reaching 200 million streams in the shortest time among female group songs in Japan with their debut track "Magnetic."
These certifications demonstrate that Korean artists are further strengthening their presence in the Japanese market. Enhypen and aespa recorded high sales in Japan with their respective albums and singles, proving the influence of global K-POP. Seventeen is expanding its fan base by showcasing diverse musical colors through unit activities.
Ailead's successful start in the Japanese market raises expectations for their future activities. Based on their achievements in Japan, they plan to continue active promotions in the global market.
