Beomgyu, a member of the group Tomorrow X Together (TXT), confessed that the "Daegu food" preferences he promoted during his rookie days were actually a strategic choice to promote his hometown.
The 169th episode of the original content 'TO DO X TXT,' released on the 9th, was conducted as a 'TO DO Home Shopping' special looking back on the members' rookie days. In the broadcast, Beomgyu mentioned the fact that he had listed Daegu foods "Kkultteok" (honey rice cakes) and "Gopchang" (small intestines) as his favorites in his past profile, revealing the surprising truth after seven years.
Beomgyu surprised the members by frankly confessing, "Actually, I didn't like Kkultteok or Gopchang much at the time." He continued to explain the cute "hometown love" behind-the-scenes story, saying, "I wrote that because I wanted more people to know that I was from Daegu back then." He especially drew laughter by adding that even now, he still prefers Makchang (last intestines) over Gopchang.
Additionally, Beomgyu picked the moment his older sister sternly told him to "pack your bags" before a monthly evaluation during his trainee days as the most memorable moment of his life. He recalled the chilling pre-debut anecdote, saying, "Every time I heard that, I snapped out of it and worked harder."
Meanwhile, on the broadcast, the Tomorrow X Together members celebrated their 7th debut anniversary, providing great entertainment to fans with their upgraded individual talents and variety show skills.
