
Netflix variety show "Single's Inferno" Season 5 has released the final thoughts of its 15 cast members. From February 2 to 8, the viewership reached 3.1 million, with a total watch time of 45.1 million minutes, ranking second for three consecutive weeks in the global non-English show category. The program ranked first in South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan, and appeared in the top 10 lists of 18 countries including Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Cast member Kim Go-eun said, "For the first time, I was able to face how I appear in front of someone I like. From now on, I want to grow into a person who expresses myself more actively and warmly." Kim Min-ji stated, "I reflected a lot while watching the show, and it sometimes felt like watching a drama. When I look back on my life as I grow older, I think 'Single's Inferno' will be the brightest time for me."

Meanwhile, model Hong Jin-kyung apologized to 'Single's Inferno 5' cast member Choi Mina-soo. On February 12, Hong Jin-kyung posted a photo commemorating the 'Single's Inferno 5' wrap-up party on her official Instagram. The photo showed Hong Jin-kyung with her hands clasped in front of Choi Mina-soo, expressing apology. Choi Mina-soo playfully posed with an expression and posture as if she was angry, adding humor. Netizens responded, "Hong Jin-kyung unnie and Choi Mina-soo unnie carried the show," and "Thanks to both of you, 'Single's Inferno 5' was fun and rich."
Hong Jin-kyung served as the MC for 'Single's Inferno 5,' which ended on the 10th. Choi Mina-soo, who won Miss Earth in 2022 as the first Korean winner, caused conflicts from the beginning as she struggled among four male cast members. The MCs, including Hong Jin-kyung, showed cold reactions such as "No shield (defense) possible," "It's painful to watch," and "Please stop." After Choi Mina-soo cried following an emotional fight with Kim Min-ji over Song Seung-il, Hong Jin-kyung apologized, saying, "I talked about Mina-soo because I wondered how angry she must be because of us MCs. Kim Min-ji and Choi Mina-soo reconciled in the 'Single's Inferno 5 Reunion' trailer released on February 11 on Netflix Korea's official YouTube channel. The video showed the cast gathered and talking together. When Kim Min-ji said to Choi Mina-soo, "Thank you for reaching out," Choi Mina-soo smiled and greeted her. Kim Min-ji added, "I was very sincere at that time." The two had shown conflict on the show. During a private conversation, Kim Min-ji said to Choi Mina-soo, "I think you don't really know yourself." After the conversation, Choi Mina-soo broke down in tears, which became a hot topic.
The 'Single's Inferno 5' reunion will be released on the 14th.
