Known by the nickname "K-Animal Dad," he shared honest stories about living with multiple pets.
Regarding how he gained attention through his "domestic dog videos," Kangtae Lee explained, "There are so many animals that I started with the idea of 'You all have to make a living yourselves.'" He has experience raising up to nine pets and mentioned the realistic financial burdens of food and medical expenses incurred during this time. He explained, "Currently, it costs about 300,000 won per month, and hospital bills add up to 10 to 20 million won annually."

His sense of responsibility extended beyond his personal pets. He established a shelter for animal rescue, and staff members are dedicated to caring for the animals. Hyunmoo Jeon asked, "Nonprofit organizations aren't structured to make money, right? Hospital bills must be high, so how do you cover those costs?" Kangtae Lee responded, "Last year alone, treatment costs exceeded 200 million won," explaining the difficulties of running the shelter. He added, "The number of sponsors is gradually increasing," and said that currently, hospital bills are covered by donations.
Kangtae Lee emphasized that life with pets and rescue activities cannot be sustained by affection alone. His confession made people reconsider the meaning of responsible care and solidarity. Through his YouTube channel "Timon and Pumba," he has shared daily life involving animal rescue and shelter management, building a fan base. He continuously shows videos of personally caring for abandoned or abused animals, contributing not only to animal content but also to rescue activities and the spread of adoption culture.
In particular, Kangtae Lee has built trust by meticulously documenting the treatment, protection, and rehabilitation processes while directly operating the shelter. His sincere efforts have received positive responses from subscribers, helping to raise social awareness about animal protection. Kangtae Lee's activities serve as an opportunity to awaken a sense of responsibility for pets and the importance of animal rescue.
