Cortis surprises with new song debut on the NBA stage... LA fans packed the venue

The group Cortis unveiled a new song at the festival hosted by the National Basketball Association (NBA). On the 13th (Korean time), Cortis performed as the headliner of the 'NBA Crossover Concert Series' held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in the United States. This event is a music festival held during the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend and is part of 'NBA Crossover,' which combines sports, culture, music, and fashion. Cortis is the first Korean artist to take the stage at this event.

Reflecting the high expectations of local fans, the concert was sold out. Fans holding Cortis merchandise and slogans gathered near the venue from early dawn the day before, creating a huge crowd. The fandom 'Core' from across the United States came together, and the crowd extended outside the building. The five members showcased explosive energy with tracks from their debut album such as "What You Want," "FaSHioN," and "JoyRide," as well as their first OST "Mention Me," which was released that day.

When the remix version of "GO!" arranged by Martin played during the performance, the audience all performed the signature choreography together, creating a spectacular scene. The highlight was the surprise reveal of the new song "YOUNGCREATORCREW" during the encore stage. As they wrapped up the performance, Cortis said, "We are preparing for a comeback soon. We are happy to share this new song with you here first. For 'Core,' we plan to create a special stage for 'YOUNGCREATORCREW' in March. Please continue to show your interest and support."

The new song "YOUNGCREATORCREW" is a track from their upcoming release. While introducing themselves with the keyword that best describes the team, "Young Creator Crew," Cortis sings about the contradictory feeling of not wanting to be defined by a single word. The members participated in the songwriting process to express the message of the song in the most Cortis-like way.

On the 14th, Cortis will be the first K-pop artist to perform a halftime show at the '2026 Ruffles® NBA All-Star Celebrity Game' held at the Kia Forum in California, USA. The event will be broadcast live nationwide in the United States through ESPN and can be watched domestically on Coupang Play. Cortis's recent performance and upcoming schedule are being recognized as examples of the global expansion of K-pop.
