
Professor Lee Hoseon, a counseling expert, revealed the reason for his departure after just one episode from the Disney+ survival program "Destiny War 49." On the 17th, Professor Lee emphasized his beliefs on his SNS by stating, "No matter what anyone says, I am a lifelong Christian." He mentioned his counseling experience, saying, "Although brief, I have counseled for quite a long time," and added, "I am always conscious of God's perspective and pray for every client I work with."
Professor Lee explained that many of his clients have anxious minds and frequently visit fortune-tellers, religious institutions, and counseling centers. He said, "I never forget to study the difference between counseling and shamanism," and revealed, "I continuously research whether it is reading destiny or predicting destiny, and what the differences are between counseling and shamanism, striving not to lose my identity."
Regarding his departure after just one episode of the program, he explained, "Only after starting did I realize this was not the path I should take." He continued, "I learned that I must proceed more cautiously," and shared his conviction, "Even at this age, I am learning again, albeit in a shameful way. I will turn back from the path I entered and live with renewed focus."
"Destiny War 49" is a survival program where 49 destiny experts gather to test their fate through various missions. Professor Lee appeared as a "Destiny Messenger" alongside broadcasters Jeon Hyun-moo, Park Na-rae, Shin Dong, and Kang Ji-young in episodes 1 to 3 but did not appear from episode 4 onward. After his departure, Park Ha-sun was introduced, drawing attention to the cast change.
Currently, Professor Lee Hoseon serves as the head of the Department of Christian Counseling and Welfare at Soongsil Cyber University. He is a Christian and has a husband who is a pastor. Professor Lee is currently communicating with viewers through tvN STORY's "Lee Hoseon Counseling Center."
