Jungkook's 'Seven' enters Spotify charts for 135 consecutive weeks... Continuing Asia's record-breaking streak

BTS Jungkook's "Seven" continues its long-running success on global music charts. Jungkook's first solo debut song "Seven" ranked 102nd on Spotify's "Weekly Top Songs Global" chart for the week of February 6–12. Since its release in 2023, the song has been streamed over 11.36 million times in one week, proving its status as a global mega hit.

"Seven" set a new record by entering the chart for 135 consecutive weeks, the longest period ever for an Asian solo artist's song, continuing its streak from the previous week. On Spotify, "Seven" became the first Asian artist's song to surpass 2.793 billion streams, approaching 2.8 billion streams. This achievement demonstrates the significant impact of Jungkook's solo activities in the global music market.

Jungkook's first solo album released in 2023, "GOLDEN," also ranked 102nd on Spotify's "Weekly Top Albums Global" chart for the week of February 6–12. The album continues to receive steady acclaim, holding the record for the longest 119 consecutive weeks on the chart for an Asian solo artist's album. "GOLDEN" surpassed 6.7 billion cumulative streams on Spotify, the highest among full-length albums by Asian artists.

Jungkook's personal Spotify account has recorded a total of 10.4 billion streams by combining all credits, marking the shortest period for an Asian artist and the first for a K-pop solo artist to reach this milestone. This figure indicates the worldwide popularity of Jungkook's music. His achievements contribute to further expanding K-pop's global influence.

Both "Seven" and "GOLDEN" set new milestones as works by an Asian solo artist, playing a crucial role in strengthening the competitiveness of K-pop artists in the global market. These accomplishments are analyzed as the result of the combination of Jungkook's individual capabilities and BTS's brand power.

Jungkook's musical success is expected to continue, contributing to raising the global status of K-pop even further.
