The group IVE appeared on JTBC's "Newsroom" to share various stories related to their second full-length album, "REVIVE+." The broadcast took place on February 15 and was filmed in a studio where the Winter Olympics were being covered. Ahead of this comeback, IVE strengthened communication with fans and took the opportunity to share the team's growth.
IVE member Jang Wonyoung expressed her feelings, saying, "Today is a space I have never been to before, so it feels fresh and exciting." She also sent a message of support to the athletes participating in the Winter Olympics, stating, "IVE sincerely supports everyone, so I hope they stay safe and achieve good results that match their efforts."
Recently, IVE achieved the feat of winning both the album and digital music awards for three consecutive years at the 40th Golden Disc Awards, receiving the album grand prize for their third mini-album "IVE EMPATHY" and the digital music grand prize for the title track "REBEL HEART." Rei said, "Every year, working hard and receiving good awards is a great motivation," adding, "Since we are returning with a full-length album after a long time, I want to show a good image through this promotion and achieve meaningful results."
Liz expressed gratitude, saying, "I am thankful to receive many awards," and added, "As the years go by, I realize that receiving big awards is never easy. Above all, I know that we can continue such good activities thanks to our fans, so I am very grateful to DIVE (official fan club name)."
The team name "IVE" means "I HAVE," signifying their intention to show everything they possess. Ahn Yujin explained, "Our strength lies in being able to show various charms rather than being defined by a single color." She added confidently, "Since this is our second full-length album, I think we have only shown about 20% so far."
The conversation continued about the second full-length album "REVIVE+." Jang Wonyoung, who participated in writing the pre-released song "BANG BANG," said, "This song also focuses on the keywords confidence and self-assurance, and the lyrics are composed wittily so that the public can enjoy it more." Regarding the secret behind the positive mindset called "Lucky Vicky" and "Wonyoung's thinking," she said, "It seems to come from the idea that 'I' am the subject of life," adding, "Ultimately, it is my life, and the person who has to solve problems is also 'me,' so I do not hesitate when making decisions."
About the title track "BLACKHOLE," Ga-eul explained, "It is the central song of the album, redefining the word 'we' for IVE and announcing a new leap forward." The members raised anticipation for their comeback by showcasing the song's killing part and the "Look At Me" point choreography for the first time.
IVE expressed excitement about meeting global fans ahead of their second world tour in 2026. Lee Seo said, "I am excited to meet fans from various countries and am preparing to show diverse stages." Ahn Yujin added, "Thanks to the experience of the first world tour, the way we communicate with fans on stage has become more varied, and spending more time with the members has made us feel closer."
Finally, when asked about the adjectives they want to be associated with as IVE, Lee Seo chose "a trusted singer," and Rei chose "a limitless singer," expressing their ambition to continue showing diverse charms.
IVE's second full-length album "REVIVE+" and the title track "BLACKHOLE" will be released on February 23 at 6 p.m. (KST) on various online music sites. IVE is also predicting another hit as the pre-released track "BANG BANG" has ranked high on domestic and international music charts.
