The Lunar New Year holiday, a major national celebration, began on the 14th. During this holiday, various special programs that families can enjoy together will be broadcast.

On the first day of the holiday, the 14th, at 8:30 PM, SBS aired "Lunar New Year Special Concert Sung Si-kyung." This program is the TV version of the "Concert Sung Si-kyung" held from December 25 to 28 last year, following a musical timeline commemorating Sung Si-kyung's 25th anniversary since debut. Hit songs by Sung Si-kyung such as "Like the First Time," "We Go Well Together," "It Would Be Nice," "On the Street," "Goodbye My Love," "Every Moment of You," and "Heejae" were introduced, and special guest Hwasa from Mamamoo appeared to reveal the duet stage of "Good Goodbye" for the first time.

At 1:00 AM on the 16th, the day of Lunar New Year, MBN will air "Hanteo Music Awards with MBN." The "33rd Hanteo Music Awards 2025," co-hosted by MBN and Hanteo Global, will be held at KSPO DOME at 6:00 PM on the 15th. Lee Chan-won and Tiffany from Girls' Generation will host, with K-pop artists including Kyuhyun, Kim Hee-jae, Now Us, Lucy, Park Ji-hyun, Billlie, Son Tae-jin, Psykers, Artemis, Identity, ATEEZ, WEi, Yoon Jong-shin, TripleS, Pentagon, Forestella, Hearts to Hearts, and Hwang Garam participating.

From 8:10 PM on the 16th, KBS2 will broadcast the Lunar New Year special variety show "Soul Beam." This program was recorded with a live audience of 400 fans and features Stray Kids in an episode titled "Stray Kids: Woke Up in the Joseon Dynasty," where they encounter traditional culture. The show is set with Stray Kids as Taoists of the Joseon Dynasty who must solve extraordinary missions. Additionally, it modernizes the 1990s Korean family game show "Family Entertainment Center" into content that families can enjoy and laugh together.

Starting on the 16th, MBC will air the three-part Lunar New Year special "Nation's No.1" every Tuesday at 8:50 PM. This program is formatted as a "Specialty Product Champions League," where local specialties compete, hosted by Moon Se-yoon, Kim Dae-ho, and Park Ha-sun. The competition is based solely on taste, and only one region will survive based on the judges' choices.

At 8:10 PM on the 17th, the second part of the three-part Lunar New Year special "Discovery of the Dining Table" will be broadcast. Hosted by Jang Geun-suk and chefs, it is presented in a roadumentary format highlighting Korean food culture and traditional crafts. The first part introduced dishes using traditional sauces, and the second part promises to offer various attractions as well.

At 9:30 PM on the 17th, the "MBC Lunar New Year Special Super Stage IU Concert: The Winning" will air. IU will perform numerous famous songs live at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. On the same day, KBS2 will air "2026 Lucky Trot Festival" at 7:40 PM, providing a program that families can enjoy together. Lee Chan-won will host, with trot stars such as Song Ga-in, Park Seo-jin, and Park Ji-hyun participating.

In addition, various programs will be broadcast as Lunar New Year specials, including TV Chosun's "Golden Friday," MBN's "Healing Show Dongchimi," SBS's "Running Man," "My Ugly Duckling," "Whenever I Have Time," "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny," and MBC's "I Live Alone," "How Do You Play?," "Omniscient Interfering View," and "Radio Star."
