
BTS has begun full-scale promotional activities ahead of the release of their fifth studio album, "Arirang (ARIRANG)," on March 20. Along with the release of new photo shoots, they are conducting an album promotion campaign targeting audiences worldwide. In particular, anticipation is growing for the performance to be held in Gwanghwamun, Seoul.
BTS's agency, Big Hit Music, announced on the 18th that they are conducting a campaign called "What Is Your Love Song?" in major cities around the world. This campaign is taking place in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, as well as Manhattan's Times Square, East Village, Soho, and Brooklyn in New York, USA. Initially, the organizer of the campaign was not revealed, leading to various speculations, but it was eventually confirmed that BTS was the main figure behind it.
At COEX in Seoul, an art wall filled with roses was installed on the 14th to celebrate Valentine's Day. When citizens took roses, the phrase "What Is Your Love Song?" along with the BTS logo appeared. Through this method, they are communicating with fans and promoting the album release.
BTS recently revealed their first full-group photo shoot on the cover of GQ magazine. Big Hit Music stated, "This is the first time a Korean artist has simultaneously taken on covers in so many regions." This is seen as another proof of BTS's global popularity.
On the day after the new album release, March 21, the "BTS Comeback Live: Arirang" performance is scheduled to take place at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. This performance will be broadcast live in real time to more than 190 countries and regions worldwide through Netflix. More than 200,000 spectators are expected to gather in the heart of Seoul. Hotels near Gwanghwamun have already been fully booked.
Following the Gwanghwamun performance, BTS will hold a total of 82 concerts in 34 cities worldwide, starting with Goyang Sports Complex on April 9. They plan to promote the new album and present various stages through meetings with fans in each city.
Since this comeback marks the end of a long hiatus, BTS is focusing on strengthening communication with fans. Along with the album release, they will provide fans with new experiences through various content. BTS's activities are expected to continue to attract attention in the future.
