BTS's JIN: "Thought About Disbanding Due to Mental and Physical Pain in 2018"

JIN, a member of the group BTS, confessed that during the group's golden age in 2018, he paradoxically went through his toughest time and even considered disbanding.

Appearing on the YouTube content "Suchwita," JIN looked back on the most intense moments in BTS's history while sharing drinks with SUGA. Mentioning his tearful acceptance speech at the 2018 MAMA awards, JIN candidly admitted, "At that time, I was physically and mentally exhausted and wanted to give everything up with the members".

At that time, BTS was achieving global success with hits like "FAKE LOVE" and "IDOL," but they were pushed to their limits by a grueling schedule that allowed for only one day of rest per month. JIN added, "The company said that was the only way to succeed, and we didn't think they were wrong, but our bodies and minds were so tired that we even drank together and talked about quitting".

SUGA also agreed with JIN, saying, "I think we were able to reach 2019 and 2020 because we endured those times". Regarding JIN, the eldest member, staying firm in his place, SUGA expressed his gratitude, saying, "It made me feel at ease to have an older brother in the team".

JIN showed how much he had grown, now able to talk about those days with a smile. He shared his own positive life philosophy: "It's all in the past, and things turned out well, so that's why I'm able to talk about it now. Just forget most things," bringing touching emotions to the fans.

Fans who saw the video responded with comments like, "I'm so proud of and thankful for the members who endured those hard times," "I didn't know such pain existed during their most brilliant moment," and "JIN's positive mindset seems to have been the strength that sustained the team."
