Kim Hye-yoon played the lead role in SBS's Friday-Saturday drama "From Today, Human," delivering a strong presence. This drama is a fantasy romance about the fateful meeting between Eun-ho (Kim Hye-yoon), an MZ fox spirit who does not want to become human, and Kang Si-yeol (Lomon), a narcissistic soccer star. The drama is set to conclude on January 28, and its 3.7% viewership rating from the first broadcast was considered the lowest ever. Afterwards, the ratings stayed in the 2% range but surged to 4.2% in episode 9, setting a personal best.
Kim Hye-yoon interpreted her character with the sensibility of a modern woman, gaining support from viewers. Pop culture critic Kim Sung-soo said, "Kim Hye-yoon expressed femininity in a way different from the traditional fox spirit character," adding, "She conveyed a message about humanity as a woman who took control of the romance." He emphasized that Kim Hye-yoon led her co-star and successfully drove the project.
Eun-ho's character is one with complex emotions, which Kim Hye-yoon portrayed delicately. As "From Today, Human" approaches its finale, Kim Hye-yoon is set to collaborate again with SBS in the second half of the year with the upcoming drama "Good Partner 2." Kim Hye-yoon's acting skills and the drama's success are expected to have a positive impact on her future career.
