Tomoya and Hyui of the group NEXZ touched fans' hearts by sharing their deep trust and sincere affection for one another, built since their trainee days.

In the 5th episode of "NEX2U," released via NEXZ's official YouTube channel on the 23rd, Tomoya and Hyui, known for their close bond within the team, appeared to share the inner feelings they hadn't spoken about before. Meeting for the first time in 2019, the two are like "soulmates" who have spent six and a half years together—roughly one-third of their lives.

During the broadcast, Hyui expressed his feelings of disappointment toward Tomoya, who usually gives short, one-word answers. To this, Tomoya explained, "It’s not that I’m uninterested, it’s just that I’m so comfortable around you," and "The closer we are, the more I feel at peace without speaking; it’s an action that comes from trusting Hyui completely," confirming their deep relationship of trust.

The two reflected on their most difficult times as trainees and confessed what they meant to each other. Hyui candidly admitted, "There were times when I felt both jealous and envious watching Tomoya, who was so talented," while Tomoya responded, "On the contrary, I envied Hyui's personality—how he acts cautiously while considering even the worst-case scenarios".

Hyui specifically mentioned that he can never forget the warm words Tomoya offered during the period when he was anxious about debuting. Tomoya gave Hyui confidence at the time, saying, "You will definitely debut," serving as a reliable pillar of support. Hyui also moved many by saying he had always imagined a future where he debuted together with Tomoya.

Sharing a laugh over past memories like the "sock incident" where they had a big fight, the two expressed their desire to stay together as NEXZ for a long time to come.
